Wellbeing comes first
Rest, food, cleanliness, and the vet are part of every day. A dog’s comfort is not something added at the end.

Our story
Our work
Goldy is a small family kennel on the island of Brač. The Golden Retrievers live to a family rhythm: walks, rest, company, and ordinary days. That is where a puppy learns what life in a home looks like.
Each dog has its own pace. Some want more play, some want more quiet. We see that as they grow, and we talk about it with a family before a puppy goes home.
Taking a dog means years of care. Wet paws, shedding, training, and the vet. That is part of life with a Golden Retriever, and we talk about it in advance, not only once the puppy is already in the car.

Values
Rest, food, cleanliness, and the vet are part of every day. A dog’s comfort is not something added at the end.
Some Golden Retrievers are bold. Some need time before they join in. We describe character as we see it, without promising that every dog will be the same.
A good match depends on the home: time, exercise, coat care, the vet, and patience for training. The breed is not right for every household on its own.
Ask anything you want to know, including what slows a decision down. We will also say when the breed, or the moment, is not right for you.
Ownership
A Golden Retriever needs daily care. That means exercise, mental enrichment, grooming as the coat sheds, veterinary visits, training, and time in the company of the household.
The breed can be the wrong choice if the days are already too full, if grooming will be skipped, or if a dog would spend most of its time alone. We look at the family’s life first, and only then at a puppy.
